Up until 2 weeks ago I had never heard of Ibotta which is a cash back rewards app that lets you shop with the app and the browser extension. Since then, I've earned over $50 cash back for shopping both online and in stores and am heading toward the $100 club just for shopping.

How Does Ibotta Work?
First you'll want to set up your Ibotta.com account. Where it asks for your Referral Code, we'd appreciate if you put XJOSXIQ because that's our code.
You can set up your account either on your laptop or mobile device. If you're using a mobile device the Ibotta link will go straight to the app store for you to load the app. If you're on a laptop the Ibotta link will let you sign up through your Facebook account, Google account or just with your name and email address.
Ibotta.com has partnered with over 1,500 brands and retailers and pays you cash for your purchases. Once your account hits $20 you can have the Ibotta money transferred right to your checking account. I've done it 2 times already and it takes 2-3 business days for the money to transfer to your checking account. If you prefer to have your money deposited into your Paypal account or receive a gift card instead, you can select that option.
I mostly have been shopping with the Ibotta app from my phone for groceries but once you download it you'll see that not only can you earn cash back on your groceries but they also have tons of retailers including home goods stores, pet stores, sporting goods stores, pharmacies and more. Plus you can use it to book hotels, rental cars, airfare, event tickets, restaurants and even food delivery services.
When I'm shopping at a certain grocery store I check all the offers for that store and load them to my app. The great thing is when you're at the store and you're not sure if the item qualifies for cash back, you simply click on the offer and take a picture of the bar code and it will tell you immediately if it qualifies so there's no guess work. When you get home just take a picture of your receipt and you'll be credited for your purchases within 24 hours. When you take the picture of your store receipt the offers that you added and purchased will come up for you to verify that they haven't missed any. You can also connect your loyalty account and you'll automatically receive cash back without taking a picture of the receipt. They also have different rewards as you're earning money that you can qualify for. If you shop for your groceries and pick them up or have them delivered you can also earn cash back.
If you're using your laptop I highly recommend installing the Ibotta browser extension through Chrome or Firefox. This is going to save you the hassle of looking to see if you're shopping at an Ibotta retailer. I installed it through Chrome and it just takes a second. For example, when I go to CardCash.com (see my review and get $5 off your first order) since this is a supported retailer of Ibotta, the browser extension will pop up on the side of my computer alerting me that this retailer will qualify for Ibotta cash back. Click on "activate" and it will give you the details. Some cash back retailers have a waiting period on purchases to get your money but others credit right away. It will give the details and what purchases will qualify on that site on the browser extension pop up.
I think the Ibotta app and website are very user friendly. When I did have a question and contacted them, they replied within a few hours and were very helpful. It's a fun way to shop because you're also earning money back and who doesn't like that?!?
